Mirage Club Kick Off 2020 With Melancholic ‘Horizontal’

French trio Mirage Club piqued our curiosity last year with their single ‘Tropical Z’, unveiled as a glimpse of their forthcoming EP. And they didn’t wait so long before unveiling the second one, a melodic retro-inspired piece named ‘Horizontal’.

Listen 'Horizontal' :

The Toulouse-based collective brings us back in the 90s with a wistful and melancholic song, mixing influences from Phoenix to Tame Impala, that combines playful new wave melodies, electronic synths and raw bassline. On top of that, Mirage Club also serves up its retro-look music video, for 6 minutes of nostalgia, that you can watch here. Already premiered on BBC Radio 6 on Lauren Laverne’s radio-show, and all along their France 2019 Tour, the full EP is on the way, planned to be out soon.

This one is the culminating effort of the trio’s breakthrough, and we’re curious to know more about what is to come for them in 2020. Wait, & see!
