Estonian Noëp Drops New Electro-Pop Single ‘Fk This Up’

Estonian artist NOËP unites the disparate sounds of Alt-J, Jose Gonzales and Mura Masa in his adventurous hybrid of electro-pop energy and intimate songwriting. It’s a style that’s already made him a star in his homeland, where he won Pop Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards for his debut EP ‘Heads In The Clouds’. His burgeoning reputation is growing internationally too, with captivating live performances everywhere from Berghain to Beirut via the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and The Great Escape. Along the way, he’s also supported Bastille and Netsky.

Now NOËP is set to reach his biggest audience to date with his new single ‘fk this up’. The track features the rising urban pop artist CHINCHILLA, who has made a charismatic early impression with recent tracks ‘Fabulous’ and ‘Elements’.

Listen 'fk this up (feat. CHINCHILLA)' :

‘fk this up’ opens in understated style, with NOËP soulfully singing, “Show me what you came here for / Did you come here for me?” And then the beats come dramatically crashing in, perfectly setting up CHINCHILLA’s hyper-infectious hook. That heightened energy carries the track through to its final engaging drop.

“This track is about enjoying life and not taking everything too seriously,” says NOËP, aka singer, songwriter and producer Andres Kõpper. “Why not admit your mistakes and laugh about it as we’re only young once?”

Hailing from Tallinn, NOËP first came to attention with the tracks ‘Move’ and ‘Rooftop’. The ‘Head In The Clouds’ EP then cemented his reputation as a rising artist proposition and a naturally engaging live performer. Those qualities are both immediately striking in his performance of ‘fk this up’ at the Estonian Music Awards ceremony:
