Fancy Feelings Shares Sun Soaked ‘Summer Of Love’

What happens when a modern-classical composer and member of iconic dream-pop band High Highs (Animal Feelings) finds himself in the same room as a Brooklyn ambient-psych-rock hipster with a skill for writing commercials for companies like Porshe (Fancy Colors), and they assemble a legendary collection of songwriters, some of which have hundreds of millions of streams under their belt, others of which who have written for shows like “Gray’s Anatomy,” “Castle,” “Twilight,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and “Gossip Girl” (Lenka, Anya Marina, Mammals Etc) ? They make incredible disco records ! ‘Summer Of Love’ is the culminating effort of this duos first foray into sun soaked, and oft whimsical disco-pop records recorded and released by Oli Chang and Zac Colwell under the moniker Fancy Feelings.

Peppered with recorded pan-flutes, saxophones, synths, and drums (no software here) that are then chopped and processed in the style of Daft Punk or Tiger & Woods, ‘Summer Of Love’ feels fresh, organic, and groovy. The vocalists lend their sweet melodies to the production, helping to make each one of these track a radio-ready hit in waiting. The duo has recently seen songs from this EP earn places in Bose stores as a test track, and on ABC Family’s “Good Trouble”. Fancy Feelings just released the full EP, perfect for summertime playlists and pool parties.
