Pastel harnesses his production skills to underline the track with a fully rounded, highly danceable bassline throughout the song. It’s jazz, dance, funk and hip-hop all at once, with a bossa nova breakdown to round it off as the perfect testament to Pastel’s effortless versatility. First uploaded over the summer as a Soundcloud exclusive, this new version of Melt comes with a filmed live session, performed on the exact same set-up Pastel will be bringing on stage for his upcoming live shows. The session was filmed in the warm intimacy of a private study at the heart of Paris’ Saint-Germain-des-Prés, across the road from the home of Serge Gainsbourg.
