Soundcloud announced in October their partnerships with six DJ software companies; Native Instruments, Virtual DJ, DEX3, Mixvibes, Hercules, and Serato.
The latter was the first to include on Serato DJ Pro 2.1 & DJ Lite 1.1 the world’s largest open audio platform, and allows DJs and creators to stream and mix music on the catalog by using a SoundCloud Go+ subscription. On the software, next to the search field, you’ll see a folder in your library with your existing playlists. But, you’ll need to use the app to manage them (since Serato doesn’t support it locally). You’re also restricted from moving any of these streaming files into a playlist alongside local files, according to Engadget.
Integrations with Native Instruments, Virtual DJ, DEX3, Mixvibes and Hercules will begin rolling out in 2019.
