Their first commercially released collaboration, a MadD3E remix of BVRGER’s “The Cool Kids”, became an immediate success back in 2016. Their “Backseat Sex” – an homage and semi-cover to Backstreet Boys’ “Everybody”, peppered with Future Beats and Hip-Hop nuances paired on glitchy drops – became a party favourite around the globe.
Listen 'Would You' ft. BVRGER :
MadD3E explains about the track “On the “Would You” beat I heard BVRGER straight away. I wanted him to make it super special. To me, he may be the best songwriter and singer of our time – super versatile and he always delivers funny and/or deep, relatable lyrics. As you may know, he doesn’t do a lot of features, hence I was super lucky that he agreed to jump on the beat. I might owe him a couple of Carbonaras for the feature!”.
MadD3E’s trademark D-Funk presented BVRGER with the ideal framework to portrait an evening with a female, taking her from the streets, in a lowrider to a club while having a great time throughout. The “Adidas tracksuit” serves as an important descriptive feature which helps to visualise the fashion of said romantic encounter. The woman of his desire comes off as someone LL Cool J described on “Around The Way Girl” – free-spirited and casually styled. A fitting outfit to join in on the “This is how we do it” spirit of the party.
It wouldn’t be a MadD3E song if the Roman synth-lead connoisseur would have left it without any of his trademark outbursts – if the hook part doesn’t move you, maybe have a sip of that good ol’ “Gin & Juice” and feel “like a G” for the day.
