Listen 'Film Noir' :

He explained about the track I created “Film Noir” from a chord-progression loop that I recorded last year. I wanted to produce a very danceable and melodic track. For that, I contrasted my electronic sound design with disco-funk drums elements. I also wanted to integrate an African vibe to the chorus which is why I ended up adding a guitar to the drop. I added the brass afterwards, which turned out to be the main element of the song, after I imagined the melody while I was in class. I saved the melody on my dictaphone app in order to reproduce it at home later. I kept the instrumental on my computer, and some time later I heard the song “Small Talk” by JESS on Spotify. I found her voice perfect for “Film Noir”, so I contacted her and the rest is history”.
