For those who don’t know, HOUNDTRACK a.k.a. Scott Korchinski is an electronic music producer from Los Angeles, and a real one-to-watch. Influenced by artists like thook, Laxcity, and weird inside, as well as bands such as Circa Survive and Deafheaven, HOUNDTRACK makes melodic and hard-driving tunes, his latest offering ‘Cul de Sac’ as the perfect example.

Released via Stereofox label, this melodic bass/chillstep instrumental ‘Cul de Sac’ is “a reflection of [those] carefree moments”, explains Scott. He adds about the track “When I started creating this song, it made me think of memories of my childhood playing around the street I grew up on. The street is a “cul de sac” which is a type of street with no outlet – just a little road with houses lining it and a circle at the end for cars to turn around in. My brother, friends, and I would skateboard, scooter, and ride bikes up and down the street. We had lemonade stands at the bottom of it and each year at Halloween hundreds of kids would come trick-or-treating”.
