Berlin Duo FHAT Backs With Energetic Pop Piece ‘Packin’

FHAT are back in typically audacious fashion, this time poppier than ever. Packin’ packs a sucker-punch right into the gut of today’s climate of sexism, misogyny and homophobia. With a love of eggplant emojis and grey sweats, these boys want to know “what are you working with?”. The innocently raunchy record is complete with all the necessary sass and sex to start your day off right, celebrating all shapes and sizes. Lyrically, the track is innuendo galore – so come on board of Apollo 69.

With support from Billboard, Gay Times, Complex and Pilerats, the boys hit 1.5million streams on the 2018 release ‘Back To Life’ in which they were featured artists. Having hit half-a-million listens on their own Spotify catalogue, FHAT have garnered the support of New Music Friday, H&M’s in store playlist, and Spotify’s ‘Butter’ and ‘Out Now’ playlists, and the September release ‘Do That’ is currently number 1 on Tidal R&B.

Speaking to the motivation behind Packin’, FHAT share:

“We were in London on a writing trip for FHAT. It was our last session before flying back to Berlin with a new producer named Lully. A little something you need to know about us, is that no boys are safe in our presence. We will flirt, fondle and freak you until you love us! Lol we love checking out boys for our own personal enjoyment but we also do it to be a bit political”.

“We have lived in NYC, LA and now Berlin and we noticed how much men and boys objectify women by catcalling, touching, poking and being inappropriate so we like to give them a taste of their own medicine. Thus came “Packin”. Lully is a sexy quirky guy with a dark humor and as we began making the song, he really went there with us”.

“While we do like to push the limit with boys, we also like to respect all peoples boundaries so we kept Packin very innocent and playful while still asking the question, what are you packin? “Cause baby it’s really starting to show”.

The duo are also finishing up their 70’s inspired hyper-sexualized music video, shot on 16mm film. In the video you’ll find Hunter and Jackson seduce and drug both a pilot and a group of flight attendants in order to hijack a plane to kick start their next mission in Berlin. The fashionably-charming video is set to go live on the 16th of October, 2019.
