NY Artist Slug Father Shares Funky Single “Think of U”

Brooklyn-based producer Slug Father shares “Think Of U”, his latest Nu Disco / Future Funk single on Casablanca Sunset Records.

“Think Of U”, features a dreamy nostalgic vocal sample, funky bass, disco strings and a groovy 110bpm rhythmic accompaniment. It’s really quite a fitting late spring release as the song lends itself to new begins and blossoming into the next phase of Slug Father’s artist career marking his first release with Casablanca Sunset Records.

In recent years, Slug Father has garnered attention as a notably indie dance producer. He’s performed at New York’s Governor’s Ball twice and supported RJD2 and Zimmer at the Brooklyn Bowl and Bowery Ballroom, respectively. Needless to say, the hard work and dedication to his craft has allowed him to build a name for himself as a notable Nu Disco artist.

Slug Father is also one half of the new indie dance DJ duo Supertaste, which features both Lucas Feigenbaum and his counterpart Zach Britt, aka Hundreds Thousands. “We’re bridging the gap between indie, electronic and funk. Each of us brings great energy to the booth. When you’re DJing five-hour sets with someone you really get to know them”, Feigenbaum said. And great news, their first single, “Got Me Loose”, is set to be out on June 5th.
