Chicago House Project Sweatnik Reveals ‘Caught Up’

Sweatnik is the production project of two Chicago House music veterans, Jonathan Marks (who has done official mixes for Le Youth, Miami Horror and more under his solo-moniker ‘Rogue Vogue’) and Kevin Ford (known for his work on “Forever” by Lake Street Project), born in a room with a filthy Roland 909 drum machine, a bench press, and sampled sounds of the Windy City. The lasting influence of creative strain and muscle-mass gain can be heard in their energetic tracks, and ‘Caught Up’ is the perfect example.

Out now on Brooklyn-based independent record label toucan sounds, ‘Caught Up’ is Sweatnik’s second official single – this time, featuring grammy-nominated multi medium artist and performer, Brandon Markell Holmes – following the well-acclaimed ‘Smoke It Out’ released last year. Channeling visions of the chi-town House hey-day, the bassline on this one will surely take you back to those nights on the south side!
