Now marking their 30th anniversary together and hailed as one of the most important French rap & hip-hop groups, Marseille-based IAM show no signs of slowing down on ‘Yasuke’, their ninth studio album and one which follows an incredibly successful tour. And surprise, CUFF label’s heads Amine Edge & Dance are part of it! Hailing from Southern France as well, the duo have built their own musical empire, alongside bangers such as ‘Lovelee Dae’ or ‘Dancin”, drawing inspiration from early House, Phili Soul, Hip-Hop, but also French Rap with massive acts like IAM.
The men from Marseille have set out developing their own signature sound, on the House & Tech House side, but they never cease to impress, showing their true talent & versatility as producers. We find them this time out of their comfort zone on ‘Yasuke’, as they produced some beats on the album, including ‘On va tous les zingurer’, ‘Qui est ?’ and ‘Quand est-ce qu’on s’aime ?’. Successful challenge for the Frenchmen!
