2019 is almost here, and like every year, we spent hours and hours to plan something new, to make the festivities memorable. But where are the best destinations, parties and DJs this year for Music lovers ? Don’t panic, Sidekick Music has got you covered 5 New Years Eve parties to start 2019 right, around the world.
1. Carl Cox - NYE Intimate Club Show
Carl Cox has announced a very special New Year’s Eve set in Melbourne, that will honour the ‘Space Ibiza’, the hallowed club in which Cox held a residency for 15 years until its closure in 2016. Couple that with a firework display at 9pm around Docklands, a premium view of the Melbourne City fireworks display at midnight, live entertainment & a no holds barred club production and we have ourselves quite the evening (according to eventbrite). 2. Defected NYE / NYD
Established in London in 1999, next year marks 20 years of London-based Defected, one of the longest running and most influential imprints in house music. Defected NYE & NYD will celebrate everything there is to love about house music, first in London at Printworks and the New Years Day with Glitterbox at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester. 3. PACHA Barcelona NYD
The countdown begin also for the famous PACHA Barcelona. It seems to be an Underground night – House/Techno/Tech-House – this year, according to the event, but we don’t have more infos at the moment. Line-up TBA.
4. Mark Night NYE 2019
On the side of the United States, the legendary Mark Knight will performs for the countdown at Audio SF, San Francisco. Taking over the old Mist Ultra Club, Audio SF is a SoMa club with “a nod to the past but an eye to the future,” as they put it. Designed with the interior of a ’70s Cadillac in mind, the decor of the 3500 square foot club is all deep warm shades of red and gold.
5. Solomun. NYE at Waagnatie
Labyrinth Club first opened doors in 2014 in Antwerp, Belgium. It quickly became the place to be for quality house and techno party’s. Soon the best and most popular producers in the world of underground electronic music found their way to the dj booth of the club: Seth Troxler, Tale Of Us, Dixon, Pan Pot, Joris Voorn… and Solomun, who’s back this year for a NYE 3 hours set.
