Spotify For Artists Announces Partnership With DistroKid

Spotify announced this wednesday on their newsroom the partnership with digital distributor DistroKid to help artists to seamlessly distribute their music to other platforms in the latest Spotify for Artists feature, revealed last month.

DistroKid is an independent digital music distribution service, founded in 2013 by entrepreneur Philip J. “Pud” Kaplan. It principally offers musicians and artists the opportunity to distribute their tracks to digital music services around the world such as iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Play Music, Deezer, and now Spotify.

"The service has been a trusted and reliable partner to Spotify, which is why they’re a natural choice to enhance the experience for artists using our beta upload feature. As part of this partnership, Spotify has made a passive minority investment in DistroKid."

The new integration will be rolling out in the near future, and we hope to have more information soon.
